Bob Sogegian leads the firm’s law enforcement business across the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, U.S. Marshals Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Secret Service. He has more than 25 years of experience providing a broad range of management and technology consulting services to public and private sector clients.
Bob has extensive experience helping clients apply advanced technology solutions to the business of law enforcement and security, including:
- Defining strategies for science and technology programs
- Analyzing and restructuring research and development portfolios
- Managing the execution of technical development initiatives
- Planning, developing, and deploying advanced technical, investigative capabilities used in the acquisition, collection, and analysis of digital evidence and intelligence
- Identifying and executing strategies associated with lawful interception of communications
- Developing and deploying computer and network forensics capabilities
- Building programs and capabilities focused on evolving technologies, such as biometrics and advanced analytics, to support law enforcement and intelligence mission applications
Prior to joining the firm, Bob was a systems engineer in the telecommunications industry. He worked for several manufacturers of switching and transport systems, supporting the full lifecycle of product development, application engineering, and field deployment.
He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Association for Computing Machinery, and International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Bob received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Northeastern University and a master’s in engineering management from George Washington University.
