Ryan Skousen has more than 10 years of experience developing large-scale big data and web development systems. He focuses on security, system architecture, and Agile development centered around DevOps.
Ryan is the technology lead for our financial crimes team. He oversees technical implementation, ongoing research and development, client deployments, and overall product roadmap and evolution.
Before becoming the leader of the financial crimes team, Ryan was a chief engineer for Booz Allen at the Department of Defense’s Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization (JIDO), a quick-reaction capability organization focused on countering improvised threats from terrorist networks. He was the capabilities development lead and architect for the JIDO big data analytic platform, Catapult. At JIDO, he revolutionized the software development and delivery pipeline allowing for same-day production delivery of software updates in a highly secured, highly regulated environment.
Ryan has led large development efforts and implemented security standards at the National Reconnaissance Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Defense Technical Information Center, and at classified U.S. Government agencies. He has deep security experience performing external technical risk assessments of medium to large organizations, including financial institutions.
Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from George Mason University.
