Since joining Booz Allen in 2013, Alexia has served as a science and health subject matter expert, using her knowledge and experience to take on a variety of projects, primarily for Department of Defense clients, focused on improving the health of service members. Her recent work has included capabilities-based assessments to facilitate the implementation of changes that improve the health and readiness of the Joint Force.
Alexia came to Booz Allen directly from graduate school, where she was awarded an American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship, an Agriculture and Food Research Initiative Microbial Functional Genomics Program Fellowship from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and a Pennsylvania State University College of Agricultural Sciences Competitive Grants Award.
She chose Booz Allen because she is passionate about working in military health. Working here has allowed her to expand her knowledge and skills as both a scientist and consultant while also doing interesting, impactful work that helps to improve the lives of service members.
Alexia holds a Ph.D. in cell and developmental biology from Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. in microbiology and molecular genetics from Michigan State University.
