How to take advantage of new microgrid opportunities
Microgrids present some of the biggest opportunities in clean energy and distributed energy resources. Today, states across the country are working to catalyze development of microgrids as part of overall grid modernization proceedings.
In New York, the Reforming the Energy Vision policy is spurring utility market change. In addition, other states such as Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and California have either offered grants for microgrid feasibility efforts or are in the process of developing similar programs. However, to reach the full benefits of microgrids, all members of its ecosystem must work in cohesion to create opportunities and capitalize on them.
