FIRST Robotics Competition is the premier high school engineering challenge. Teams of students, working closely with teachers and volunteer mentors, conceptualize, design, build, program, and test a robot.
No two robots are built or operated in exactly the same way. Students work with hundreds of components and each team has to decide its own game strategy, then design and fabricate a machine within tight specifications.
The Booz Allen-sponsored championship is free and open to the public. Watch 58 of the best and brightest high school robotics teams compete, making science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) a spectator sport.
Come out and cheer on your favorite team or learn more about bringing FIRST programs to your community. Winners from FIRST Chesapeake will compete at the FIRST World Championship in St. Louis at the end of April.
