Data, IT Infrastructure, and Communications

What's on the Horizon?

Engineering is constantly changing, and we’re at the forefront of what’s next. We design Wi-Fi networks with a strong focus on contiguous roaming within—our team is working with government clients to move toward adoption of mobile voice over IP applications as well as other mobile apps that are replacing traditional software. This breakthrough would enable users to bypass connecting to an external network when making a voice call with a smartphone inside a facility and requires a completely new design methodology for a Wi-Fi network.

Our radio frequency (RF) engineering capabilities provide clients with integral services and improved mission effectiveness: increasing mobility, communications, and use of diverse and innovative mobile applications; and cost reduction by leveraging Wi-Fi to significantly reduce reliance on cellular carriers, wired desk phones, and traditional computing platforms, yielding tremendous capital and operational savings. Booz Allen’s professionals focus on the physical layer network design by translating usage requirements, cost constraints, and radio frequency-based coverage challenges into real-world designs.

That’s why—in today’s world of ever-evolving data, IT infrastructure, and communications needs, threats, and capabilities—agencies and organizations are looking to us to lead the way.
