Nearly all of our employees have touched the military in one way or another, whether they served on active duty, in the reserves, are a supporting family member, have a military client, or have volunteered with the military community.
In November, 2016, our employee-led Military Spouse Forum invited the entire firm to kickoff Military Family Month by sharing photos that showcased their military journey.
Employees voted on their favorites, and here are the winning photos:
“My husband just returned from a deployment with HSC21 (San Diego) as part of a humanitarian effort aboard the USNS Mercy in the South Pacific. We have a three year old at home who is just beginning to understand deployments. We decided that he could take her favorite doggy along and pose with pictures that we could show her along the way. It was a hit!” - Aubreigh
“After 3 years and 3 months in Washington DC, we PCS’d to North Dakota this past summer, what an adventure it’s been. This image captures so many feelings and memories from our time in DC: what an honor and privilege it was to be in the heart of the nation’s capital and see monuments like this one on a daily basis, remember the friendships, relationships and network we built with truly talented colleagues, cherish the community that welcomed us and became a “village” for our family, reflect on memories made by our oldest daughter with many friends, and last but not least celebrate the growth of our family as we welcomed our youngest daughter.” - Liz
“My military journey took me lots of places, but I would have never made it to where I was going without the help of this Army HMMWV (Humvee) mechanic. This picture depicts Army SGT Andrew (Andy) Warren Sr. 63B20 Light Wheeled Mechanic in Mosul Iraq 2004. Even after my military journey was through, I realized I needed him for the rest of my journey. Today, he is my husband of almost 13 years and father of two. To me, he is still the best Army mechanic in the world!” - Dawn
“Morning picture I took from Coast Guard Station Honolulu during my first drill as a Boatswain’s Mate in the Coast Guard Reserves.” - George
