Like many companies, the client’s cybersecurity system was composed of disparate security functions. Booz Allen helped the client define a cohesive direction and establish new cybersecurity capabilities to provide better protection.

Within weeks, the team leveraged threat intelligence solutions to analyze existing systems and infrastructure, and prioritize vulnerabilities, revealing more than 9,000 previously undiscovered risks. Intent on reducing the footprint through which adversaries could attack the client’s systems, the Booz Allen team created the client’s Vulnerability Management Program to provide transparency into the deficiencies and bring effective oversight.

The team implemented fixes across a broad swath of technologies and captured strategic issues around the underlying reasons for vulnerabilities. As a result, the client chose to have Booz Allen build a new security operations center (SOC) rather than augment existing capabilities.
