McLean, VA — Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE:BAH) announced today that its IT Development Organization has been formally appraised at CMMI for Development Maturity Level 3 by Global Process Solutions, LLC.
The rating comes after a two-week, externally led appraisal of Booz Allen’s systems delivery processes and implementation activities. This is the 16th consecutive successful CMM/CMMI appraisal rating received by Booz Allen, dating back to 1998.
The Maturity Level 3 rating demonstrates Booz Allen’s ability to support large-scale systems delivery projects which require the highest degree of process rigor, repeatability, and focus on quality management. In particular, a Level 3 rating reflects the use of well-defined, widely accepted best practice standards and procedures. For Booz Allen clients, the Level 3 status ensures quality results, delivered on a timely basis, with effective cost management.
“We are proud to be successfully appraised at Level 3 – yet again – as a validation of our commitment to process maturity and quality,” said Gary Labovich, an executive vice president with Booz Allen and leader of the firm’s Systems Delivery Group. “It sends a clear signal to our customers that we are a buttoned-down, quality-driven organization capable of implementing large-scale projects.”
As systems delivery and other, related projects grow increasingly complex, interest in the CMMI appraisal process is growing.
“With challenging goals, limited resources, and little time, clients need to know they can trust their partner to design and deliver,” said Jeff Fossum, a vice president with Booz Allen’s Systems Delivery Group. “Our leadership in engineering excellence, process maturity, and innovation is a key part of Booz Allen’s Vision 2020 long-term strategy.”
