McLean, VA – Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) announced today that it has been appointed to AIG’s Cyber Insurance panel. This appointment provides AIG’s Cyber Insurance clients with access to Booz Allen’s Incident Response solutions and expert team in the event of a breach. Booz Allen’s Incident Response team efficiently responds to advanced persistent threats, transforms operations for improved post-incident security, and enables clients to prepare for sophisticated attacks.
“Time is of the essence when responding to an incident or breach, so knowing who to call for immediate support is critical,” said Jerry Bessette, senior vice president and leader of Booz Allen’s Cyber Incident Response Program. “Organizations need to partner with cyber experts to focus on quickly detecting, responding to, and remediating the consequential threats associated with cyberattacks. Our appointment to AIG’s Cyber Insurance panel makes this possible for a wide range of organizations who turn to AIG for their cyber insurance needs.
“AIG is focused on delivering the best resources and capabilities for our clients and that includes providing access to exceptional incident response capabilities,” said Rod Jones, AIG. “Booz Allen brings a deep understanding of the complex environment in which we operate, and we look forward to working with their Incident Response team to help our clients stay ahead of emerging cyber threats.”
Booz Allen’s Incident Response team identifies and responds to some of the most complex and significant breaches for the Fortune 500 and Global 2,000, executing more than 100 engagements every year. With leading experts and innovative solutions, Booz Allen’s Incident Response team is accredited by the National Security Administration, the Council for Registered Ethical Security Testers, and the General Services Administration. Booz Allen is also a key player in the cyber insurance industry through its existing affiliations with Munich Re and Arch Barbican.
“As threat actors become increasingly advanced and determined, it’s not a matter of if, but when an organization will face a cyber attack. Cyber insurance helps organizations offset the financial costs and access sophisticated solutions when it matters most, so organizations can focus on their customers and their business,” said Andrew Turner, an executive vice president and market strategy lead for Booz Allen’s global commercial business. “We’re proud to work with AIG to provide our expertise and help clients not only prepare for and respond to the most advanced threats, but completely transform and improve their defenses.”
This announcement comes on the heels of Booz Allen’s strategic investment in Tracepoint, a rapidly growing digital forensics and incident response company serving leading clients in the public and private sectors.
