Looking Ahead to Unstoppable Together Summit 2022

How can we as individuals create greater equity in our relationships with peers? How can we build equity into our processes, systems, and institutions, from leisure time to public services?

These are just a few questions attendees will explore on February 15-16 at the fourth annual Booz Allen Unstoppable Together Summit 2022: “Creating a More Equitable Future.” The summit will also showcase the firm’s signature diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program highlights for the year.  

The virtual summit brings together thought leaders from government, academia, and the community to have conversations about how to advance equity in all aspects of our lives—personal and professional—as well as in society.

Booz Allen Chief People Officer Betty Thompson will open the summit and welcome attendees with a preview of what’s ahead.

“We have an exciting new Unstoppable Together Summit this year that uses unique, story-based conversations to foster a free flow of ideas and perspectives,” she said, “including some incredible sessions by the firm’s Global Business Resource Groups and DEI Councils about equity in the employee experience, our work, and our clients’ missions.” 

Some highlights from the summit’s agenda include: 

• Using Power Ethically (Tuesday, February 15, 12:45 pm)  
  What does it look like to wield power and privilege in corporate America today? How can we start a conversation that is less about taking power from one group and giving it to another and more about distributing power equitably? 
  
  
• Rest Equity (Tuesday, February 15, 2:45 pm) 
  In today's environment, who gets to rest? How does that answer change based on factors like race, gender, and caregiving roles? And why does American culture tend to look down on rest or conflate it with laziness? 
  
  
• Equitable Access to Government Programs (Wednesday, February 16, 1:45 pm) 
  Government programs can only help those who can access them. What must we examine when it comes to how Americans access, engage with, and use government programs? In what ways can the right technology—and the right questions—help expand equitable access? 

The 2022 summit’s theme, “Creating a More Equitable Future,” builds upon and expands the 2021 conversation about exploring social equity around the globe.
