Eric Rickard leads Booz Allen’s Army cybersecurity business agenda and solutions portfolio, ensuring the Army’s IT, communications, and weapon systems are protected from disruption by near-peer adversaries. Eric’s team enables data-driven investments that assure mission security effectiveness, mission resiliency, and affordability—fundamentally changing the way the Army procures cybersecurity solutions and services.
Over the past 3 years, Eric has established Booz Allen’s cyber physical systems business. That portfolio includes resilient mission operations, secure supply chain management, secure systems modernization, persistent cyber training, and cyber-defensive operations.
With more than 20 years of Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community leadership experience, Eric is a recognized expert in process improvement, software and systems development, machine learning, artificial intelligence-based systems, and extreme big data analysis.
Eric’s extensive technology background is the product of collaboration with world-class engineers and scientists at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity, National Science Foundation, DoD research centers, numerous research institutes, and national labs across the U.S. He maintains an equally extensive network of researchers and high-tech innovators to supplement his Booz Allen team. Many of Eric’s prior research teams have gone on to found publicly-known or traded companies, such as Nuance Communications, Intuitive Surgical, and Siri.
Eric holds a B.S. in physics from Syracuse University.
