Nyla Beth leads the firm’s Next.gov initiative, a portfolio of new business model opportunities helping government improve citizen transactions through digital experiences. She applies nearly 20 years of experience leading technology and policy initiatives to help government reimagine the customer journey. Accelerating innovation is her primary focus, shaping efforts to solve client challenges through emerging technologies.
Nyla Beth’s background is in federal civilian markets, such as the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the U.S. Department of Justice. She created and led areas of new and emerging business to promote technology platforms and solutions including Internet of Things (IoT) strategy, mobility, broadband deployment, and public safety communications modernization. She also established and expanded Booz Allen’s IoT portfolio, leading a visionary team of strategists, engineers, and scientists. Concurrently, she headed the firm’s planning of its Washington, DC Innovation Center, which anchors our culture of invention in a physical space.
Before joining Booz Allen, Nyla Beth served as director of public safety programs for G&H International Services, Inc. There she developed, led, and implemented strategies for federal programs to address critical homeland security issues. Her expertise included serving as the acting chief of staff for a DHS program and managing the National Task Force on Interoperability for the Department of Justice.
Nyla Beth has a bachelor’s in international politics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and holds professional certifications in innovation management, pragmatic marketing, and grants management. She has received multiple citations of honor from DHS and DOC for client service and has been honored with Booz Allen’s highest award. She is also an advocate for policies to help working parents, serves as a board member of PlayWorks DC, and is a leader at National Presbyterian Church.
