The 2017 Directed Energy Summit focused on informing decision-makers across the U.S. defense policy, operational, funding and acquisition communities on the potential development and deployment of directed energy (DE) capabilities (high energy lasers, high power microwave/RF systems, and electronic warfare) within the next five years.
This two-day event, co-sponsored by Booz Allen Hamilton and the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA), brought together more than 500 government and industry stakeholders within the first 60 days of the new administration and Congress.
Directed Energy Week in DC also included two events hosted by the Directed Energy Professional Society (DEPS) as part of the Directed Energy to DC Exhibition: March 28th exhibition in the Pentagon courtyard (0900 – 1400) and an afternoon exhibit and reception on March 30th at the Rayburn House Office Building Foyer (1300 – 1900).
